asinnajaq is the daughter of Carol Rowan and Jobie Weetaluktuk.
Born in Kuujjuaq, in the care of Ungava Bay. With roots in Inujuak, in the care of Hudson Bay. Raised and working in Tiohtià:ke, in the care of the St. Lawrence River and Lac. St Louis.
Interested in thinking and growing through life to pass on knowledge and tools to live the best life possible to following generations, asinnajaq works in the arts. Creating spaces for encounters in one’s life journey, they work in photography, installation, film, writing, and curation.
